¿De qué trata Iljimae?

El ''Robinhood'' de la Dinastía Chosun, Il Ji Mae, quien roba a los oficiales corruptos del Gobierno y se lo devuelve a los pobres. Pero aquel bandido no empezó tratando de ser un héroe para la gente. Después de perder su memoria tras una traumática experiencia al presenciar la muerte de su padre cuando el era pequeño. Il Ji Mae, ha tratado de encontrar la emblemática y única espada, la cuál fue usada para matar a su padre. ¿Podrá él encontrar esta espada y hacer que su dueño pague justicia?
